Scroll for moreEric and Daniel, childhood friends since pre-school, reconnected at City, University of London, where they pursued degrees in Business Management and Digital Innovation. Throughout their studies, they searched for a sector where technology could drive meaningful change in a physical, tradition-bound space. The answer was clear: catering.
They identified a clear gap — students simply weren’t utilising university dining spaces. As students themselves, they set out to build a more agile, tech-enabled, and student-centric organisation.
This is how Dévorer came to life.
Dévorer is not just a catering solution — it’s a hybrid ecosystem, a data-powered initiative, and a reimagining of the campus dining experience. At our core is a student-led movement, driven by the voices, needs, and energy of the very communities we serve.
Through partnerships with over 300 premium street food vendors, Dévorer brings 40+ rotating global cuisines to university campuses. Curated for inclusivity and variety, our offering appeals to all student demographics — from halal and vegan eaters to international food lovers. By working closely with vendors, we subsidise pricing to make meals more affordable for students. Our self-sufficient model delivers high-quality, flexible dining with minimal operational demand, complementing — not competing with — existing catering services.
We leverage AI and computer vision to track footfall, understand student behaviour, and optimise vendor selection across campus. This continuous feedback loop boosts vendor performance and ensures students and staff are served to their desire. As our footprint grows, the compounded strength of our data sharpens — enabling us to forecast trends, personalise offerings, and fine-tune operations with precision across campuses.
Our autonomous systems simplify service, maximise consistency, and scale rapidly with appealing, self-contained presentation that makes them a smarter alternative to the cost of traditional staffed retail.
Dévorer’s ultimate sustainability goal is to significantly reduce food waste on a global scale. As a student-centered company, we actively involve current students in shaping both our sustainability strategy and on-the-ground operations. We offer on-campus job opportunities and embed students into university-led initiatives — raising awareness, driving behavioural change, and co-creating tailored food waste reduction strategies at the local level.
